Can I really save money using distance training?
The combined scheme offered by FireLearn and its partners has the advantage of reducing travel expenses and optimizing training time. In this way, the support provided by qualified instructors is more effectively targeted, costs are adjusted in consequence, and support provided for fundamental aspects of training. Considerable economies of scale are therefore made, which leads to an overall reduction in training costs.

What services are provide in conjunction with the training?
Customer service is available free of charge via email or telephone, and is there to provide you with answers to any questions related to our online training programs.

Will I still be able to access courses once I have completed my practical training?
Yes. You have access to the theory component of each module for a period of 12 months, thus you continue to have access to courses even if you complete the practical component prior to the close of this period. This is one of internet-based training's greatest advantages, as it means that you can continue to review completed lessons.

Are courses designed in accordance with NFPA standards?
Yes, our lessons have been developed based upon NFPA standards. What is more, due to their modular nature and the fact that they are available via the internet, all training contents can be modified rapidly to take into account any major changes to either standards or equipment.
How does the instructor's role evolve?
Instructors remain at the core of the training program. They continue to provide assistance and guide the training process:
- Tutoring by means of theory course
follow-ups
- Provision of practical training
- Student end-of-training evaluations
Access to constantly up-dated theoretical courses also ensures that instructors have the most up-to-date knowledge, enabling them to provide trainee firefighters with the best possible level of support.

Can I buy just the theory training component?
Absolutely. You may follow specific modules within a training program. Lessons 1 to 19 of the Firefighter 1 program have been designed according to NFPA 1001 Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications, and are constantly up-dated to take into account modifications to this and other standards affecting course contents. The principle of a 12-month access period remains unaffected.

Do I need high-speed internet access to take these courses?
Not necessarily. Though a high-speed internet connection ensures faster access, our online courses have been optimized for classic modem access.
