In order to better understand our training process,
please review the following diagram detailing the exact steps of the program.

Theoretical portion : The theoretical portion represents the first step for the student. Knowledge is acquired through internet-based distance learning courses, with the goal of completing an evaluation which certifies the person's aptitude to proceed with the practical portion of the course.

Practical portion : Once the theoretical portion has been completed, students may proceed with the practical portion from their own firehouses. Students may access their skills sheets through the internet, print them out and bring them to the firehouse. These skills sheets detail all the practical drills that must be mastered by students before they proceed with the final skills evaluation. Local administrators are provided with skills evaluation sheets through the internet, and they or another competent authority must complete these sheets for each student.

Certification : FireLearn in partnership with fire fighter training schools can provide students with a diploma certifying that they have attained the NFPA 1001 Firefighter 1 level, provided that they have successfully completed all 19 courses (both theoretical and practical with relevant examination).
